Either subwoofer shape offers dustcap illumination and a broad range of compatible amplifier power classes. Hifonics HF Subwoofers HF Dual VC & Single Voice Coil subs are available in 10 and 12-inch round profiles also with Low-Q, Theile/Small parameters perfect for small sealed or vented enclosure designs. The single 4-Ohm voicecoil HF version is used most often in subwoofer enclosures with two or more drivers, enabling low-impedance amp loading, without giving up vital cone area. More cone area translates to more SPL. Both offer "The Power of 1" Reliability. The answer is; Zeus & HF's integrated spider assembly and tinsel lead-in wires. The Hifonics one-piece spider-tinsel lead design eliminates one of the most common modes of subwoofer failure… the dreaded…tinsel lead breakage. AND when the "heat is on" the Hifonics heat-dissipating aluminum CCAW voice-coils disperse the left-over thermal energy into the magnet & frame assembly.
